As an outdoor lighting Manufacturer, Solux luminaires must resist over time in the harshest conditions. That is why we pay a particular attention in the material of our luminaires.
Our products are made by aluminum, the perfect material for his natural corrosion resistance properties and lightness.
Beyond materials, we pay a particular attention our surfaces treatments and coating.
We opted for AKZO NOBEL powder coating, offering exceptional resistance performance in the most demanding conditions, e.g, in case of long lasting sunshine ( resistance to UV discolouration ), very high temperatures, high rate of humidity in the air and seaside locations.

Since its creation, Solux had successfully opted for the LIFEPO4 Lithium battery which guarantees an operating lifetime of more than 10 years.
Many manufacturers, by lack of knowledge or for cost saving reason , opt for others technologies, such Lithium Ion or Nimh, resulting in poor product quality and short lifetime.

Comparisons by different battery technologies
A battery’s depth of discharge (DoD) indicates the percentage of the battery that has been discharged relative to the overall capacity of the battery. Depth of Discharge is defined as the capacity that is discharged from a fully charged battery, divided by battery nominal capacity. Depth of discharge is normally expressed as a percentage. For, example, if a 100 A h battery is discharged by 25ah, the depth of discharge is 25%.
HEAT DISSIPATION
High temperatures greatly affect the battery’s lifetime. This is why our batteries are encapsulated in an aluminum waterproof casing for a perfect heat dissipation.
In addition to that, the casing enjoy a natural airflow which keeps the battery to ambient temperature.
LED TECHNOLOGY
Our LED modules must achieve the longest lifespan possible. In our search for excellence, all our luminaires are equipped with PHILIPS LED Chips, well known and recognised for their performance and robustness with more than 80,000 hours lifespan and a performance of more than 150 Lumens per Watt.
In addition, electronic protection devices prevent any overheating of the various components.
Temperature management in our luminaires is deliberately very safe; we keep the temperature of our LED modules much lower than the maximum allowable temperatures resulting in a increased lifetime.

MICROWAVE SENSOR
Solux luminaires are equipped with microwave detectors. These sensors use a high range frequencies to detect a presence.
They do not identify humans via the heat they emit, but they use the Doppler effect (like car radars) to detect a presence and measure the distance. This high frequency wave is emitted then it will bounce on the surface (human or vehicle) and will analyse whether a person is present or vehicle or not.
The sensor is not sensitive to all objects, which increases the reliability of of detection resulting to :
• Much better reliability compared to the Infrared detector
• Very wide Directivity up to 360°
•Insensitivity to environmental variations (light, color, temperature, etc.)
• Long and stable detection range
LE CERVEAU DU SYSTÈME
Le contrôleur de charge est le cerveau du système d’éclairage solaire.
Il permet la régulation et la protection de charge de la batterie ainsi que le management de l’éclairage et ses programmations.
L’électronique du contrôleur Solux est complètement encapsulé dans un coffret aluminium lui apportant étanchéité ainsi qu’une parfaite dissipation de chaleur.
Le contrôleur agit également comme élément de protection de l’ensemble des composants contre la :
Surcharge / Surintensité / Surtempérature / Surtension / Surchargement / Surdécharge
TECHNOLOGIE MPPT
Dans une recherche de performance et de fiabilité, nos produits sont équipés de contrôleur de technologie MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) offrant la meilleure efficacité de chargement du marché.
UN DIAGNOSTIC À DISTANCE
Afin de faciliter toutes les interventions de maintenance et
surtout de diagnostiquer tout problème éventuel et ce sans
avoir à intervenir mécaniquement sur le luminaire, les
luminaires Solux sont équipés d’un système de diagnostic
sans fil via Télécommande.
D’un simple clic il est possible d’avoir des informations en
